Official launch event for Clean Shores Great Lakes

At the Clean Shores, Great Lakes launch event, EMEDO discussed their efforts in promoting waste management and circular economy, as well as their empowering of young people and women though training about a range of environmental issues. Happiness Felix showcased a beautiful home decorations made from repurposed plastics, a creative solution to prevent plastics from ending up in the Great Lakes.

We were also joined by the traditional dance group "Bujora" who entertained the gathered environmental conservation stakeholders and the Deputy Mayor of Mwanza. Their performance carried an essential message about the threat of plastics littering and significance of preserving the environment, particularly the shores and landing sites. The group also showcased other exciting performances, including snake charming and more.
