16 September 2023. Clean Shores, Great Lakes joined global efforts to make the world a little tidier on World Clean-Up Day.
Clean Shores Great Lakes teamed-up with Mwanza City Council to conduct a clean-up along the Mirongo River that flows into Lake Victoria. Even with early start at 7 am, we were joined by over 100 volunteers in our 69th clean-up. Over 8500 items of litter were collected weighing just over 500 Kg. Our clean-up even made the local news as we continue to raise awareness of plastic litter.
